What is a rebuilt engine?

A used engine is completely disassembled, thoroughly inspected, carefully cleaned, and reassembled. In the process of engine rebuilding, all parts which have been worn by use are replaced with new ones. Performance of a finished rebuilt engine is equivalent to that of a brand new one.
